Job Description

The English Language Content Coordinator will be responsible for the creation, enhancement, repurposing and dissemination of legal information and education tools intended for Quebec’s English-speaking Community (ESC) and the organizations which serve them.  

The position will also involve promoting Éducaloi’s services within Quebec’s ESC and collaborating to develop and maintain links with different English-speaking communities around Quebec, their organizations, and their community workers.

This position is under the supervisions of Éducaloi’s management team.


Content Creation

  • Participate in consultations of various clientèles with a perspective of collaborative creation.
  • Develop legal information and education tools intended for Quebec’s ESC and the organizations which serve it.
  • Analyze, enhance, and repurpose different types of legal information tools (particularly workshops, guides, and pamphlets).

Networking and Animation

  • Collaborate to maintain a network of members of Quebec’s ESC interested or involved in public legal education by regularly publicizing information about Éducaloi’s new contents and activities through various media (writing newsletters, updating website, contributing to activity reports, etc.)
  • Maintaining and developing Éducaloi’s presence in different English-speaking communities around Quebec to help Éducaloi achieve its objectives regarding these communities.
  • Develop, organize and animate workshops for different English-speaking audiences.

In House Capacity Building

  • Advise the Éducaloi team in developing projects and tools to assist community workers.
  • Collaborate in the enhancement of Éducaloi’s in-house knowledge regarding the needs of community workers, particularly through the creation of tools, workshops and individual coaching.
  • Develop the Éducaloi team’s knowledge regarding the frontline work of community organizations and collaboration with the community sector.
  • Collaborate with Éducaloi’s School Content Coordinator to develop English-language content intended for schools (including adult education centres and English as a second language classes).  

Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma in social sciences (social work, education or a related discipline)
  • Experience in creating educational tools or in popular education
  • Experience in frontline community work (an asset)  
  • Training or experience in the community sector (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of: 
    • issues and challenges faced by English-speaking communities in Quebec.
    • organizations and services for immigrants and indigenous communities.
    • the English-language education network (an asset)  

Language and Communication

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken French

  • Valid driver’s license and available for occasional travel.
