Prior to joining Éducaloi, Richard worked as a lawyer for Project Genesis, a Montreal-based community organization which advocates in the areas of housing rights and income security. He then served as coordinator of the Committee to Aid Refugees and the Volet protection at the Table de concertation des organismes au service de personnes réfugiées et immigrantes (TCRI).
Richard also helped establish the Just Solutions Clinic, whose mission is to defend the rights of migrants with precarious status, and still works as the clinic’s supervising lawyer.
Since May 2019, Richard has brought this commitment to social justice, and access to justice for the vulnerable and marginalized, to the service of Éducaloi’s mission.
