She holds degrees in history, civil law and Common Law and has been a member of the Quebec bar since 1998. Over the course of her career, Katia has served as corporate counsel in environmental law at major law firms, taught environmental law as an adjunct professor at the McGill School of Environment and investigated environmental law enforcement at the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation. More recently, she spent ten years doing international trade compliance at an aerospace company. Katia has served on various boards of directors. She has authored many publications on environmental law.
