3 things to know about Jad
A remarkable historical event: 1995, because the referendum led to his political awakening.
At his table for dinner: He would share a final meal with his maternal grandmother, a woman he finds inspiring and strong-willed, who passed away when he was young.
An unexpected fact about him: He is terrified of dogs.
With a diploma in civil law from Université de Sherbrooke and a graduate certificate in Common Law, Jad began his career as a lawyer at a law firm in Quebec City before making the leap into provincial politics. He first served as senior political advisor to the Minister of Justice. He then joined the office of the Prime Minister of Quebec as an advisor on operations and protocol. What stands out to him about that experience? The opportunity to explore all facets of law, politics and Quebec.
Jad now works at Québécor as Vice-President, Institutionnal Affairs, since 2019. In his daily work, he leads a team that manages relations with various levels of government, as well as with paragovernmental and institutional organizations.
Committed to the community, Jad has been active in several organizations in the health, legal and cultural sectors. Even though his schedule is very busy, it is essential for him to take the time to get involved in the community and to provide those around him with every opportunity to grow.
He has now joined Éducaloi, whose mission is close to his heart. Jad believes it is important that everyone has access to unbiased information about the rule of law. In fact, he sometimes uses Éducaloi’s resources to freshen his legal knowledge.
