If you bought or leased a new Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru or Pontiac Vibe vehicle between January 1, 1999 and November 30, 2014, you could be entitled to a refund of at least $25.
Class action against auto parts manufacturers
Approximately 40 class actions are currently underway against auto parts manufacturers. The companies allegedly conspired to fix the price of parts for new vehicles. One of these class actions, which concerns wire harness systems, recently resulted in a $25.6 million settlement to be distributed to customers. Each person concerned could receive at least $25 in compensation.
How to claim your money
You must submit your claim by June 12, 2020 through the website https://www.autopartsettlement.ca.
You will need proof of purchase, such as:
- invoices
- receipts
- original purchase or lease records
- insurance documentation
If you no longer have any of these documents, you might be able to obtain a copy by contacting the dealer who sold you or leased you the car.
